Acupuncture
In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), there are 5 main “Zhang-Fu” organs that have their own special function. When they are balanced and working in harmony, you are functioning optimally. The 5 organs are the liver, heart, spleen, kidney, and large intestines.
Our organs function similarly to factories, supplying the body with essential resources. To facilitate this supply, intricate networks, known as meridians, serve as highways that connect these 'factories' to over 300 points in the body. These 'highways' host vital stations —acupuncture points—similar to gas stations. By applying acupuncture needles to these points, we stimulate the 'factories' to deliver their resources to specific areas. The energy that propels these resources along the 'highways' is called 'qi.'
Issues affecting the 'factories,' 'gas stations,' or 'highways' can disrupt the flow of 'qi.' Our goal is to maintain a smooth flow of 'qi' along these meridians. In instances where dysfunction occurs, acupuncture can effectively target various conditions by restoring a balanced flow of ‘qi’.
